I think of childhood friends And the dreams we had. We lived happily forever, So the story goes, But somehow we missed out On the pot of gold. But we'll try the best that we can To carryon. by "Styx" Dennis DeYoung Marymount Califonria University Marymount Califonria University Dedication Andy Castle TEACHER, BENEFACTOR, & FRIEND For over 35 years, L. Andrew Castle, or "Andy" as he was known by all, has been associated with Marymount Col-lege as an instructor of photography, a benefactor, and a friend. Last October, God summoned Andy to His presence after 85 years of service, and Marymount Palos Verdes College lost a long-time friend. Andy was introduced to Marymount College by Mother Gertrude who persuaded him to teach photography at the college, which was then located in Westwood. Over the years, Andy continued to teach photography, first in West-wood, then at the first Palos Verdes campus, and finally at the present location. His dedication to his class over the years has provided hundreds of students with an opportun-ity to express themselves through photography. His gener-osity has made Marymount College's darkroom one of the most professionally equipped photography labs in the area. Andy was a deeply Religious man of the Jewish Faith, and often shared with the Sisters that he felt a oneness of Faith with them; "We see the same God, we just look through different glasses", he would tell them. Because of his Love and Generosity for Marymount Palos Verdes College, and the beautiful example of a man in touch with his God, we, the staff of the 1978 Ocean Breeze, ••. , dedicate this book to L. Andrew Castle.
